This Privacy Policy explains how Veyahealth LLC ("Veya", "we", "us") handles information in the Veya mobile application (the "App"). By using the App you agree to this policy.
In short: your health data stays on your device. We do not sell your data, and we never use Apple Health data for advertising or tracking.
1. Information in the App
The App is designed to keep your personal health information on your device. Depending on the features you use, the App processes:
- Profile — name, date of birth, sex, height, weight, activity level, longevity goals.
- Apple Health (HealthKit) data you choose to share — e.g. steps, resting heart rate, HRV, sleep, VO₂max, blood glucose, menstrual data — used only to display metrics and personalize recommendations.
- Blood work you import (PDF/photo) and the values extracted from it.
- Genetic data you optionally import (e.g. a 23andMe raw data file), processed on your device to show longevity-related insights.
- Nutrition, supplements, goals, energy logs and biological-age history you enter.
- AI coach messages you send to the in-app assistant (LUNA).
2. Where your data is stored
Your data is stored locally on your device. If you enable device backup features (e.g. exporting a backup file, or iCloud sync where offered), copies are stored where you direct them or in your personal iCloud account. We do not operate a server that collects your health records.
3. Third-party services
- Apple HealthKit — health metrics are read with your permission and used solely for App functionality. They are never used for advertising or sold, in line with Apple's policies.
- AI coach (Anthropic / Claude API) — messages you send to the AI coach are processed by Anthropic to generate responses. We design prompts to avoid sending directly identifiable health information. Do not include information you do not wish to share.
- Open Food Facts — when you search foods or scan a barcode, the query is sent to the Open Food Facts database to return nutrition information.
4. How we use information
To provide and operate the App's features, personalize insights, and respond to support requests. We do not sell your personal information and do not use it for third-party advertising.
5. Subscriptions & purchases
Paid subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment card details. Purchase management and refunds are handled via your Apple account.
6. Your choices & rights
- You control HealthKit access in iOS Settings at any time.
- You can edit or delete your data in the App, or remove it all by deleting the App.
- To request access to or deletion of any information associated with you, contact us at supportapps@veyahealth.us.
7. Children
The App is not intended for individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical measures to protect information. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above and, where appropriate, within the App.
